NEW KIDS ROCK!!!
Last night was the big night!! The concert was FANTASTIC!! Rick was trying to work his connections to get backstage passes, but he didn't end up getting any. He did, however, bring back an autographed Donny guitar pick which was pretty cool! The girls weren't too happy about me not being here, but they did alright with Daddy.
Our tickets were in a suite so it was SOOO nice to be a little private. We weren't that close, but I'd take a suite any day over crowds of screaming 30 year olds! A few of the many benefits of a suite are a fully stocked fridge, minus the drinks we already took out and a private bathroom!
Now some of you were giving me a hard time about wearing 80's garb...well let me just say it was in FULL force!! You know me and my picture taking skills....I was able to snap a few pics for your enjoyment and only managed to get caught once! There was BIG BIG hair, side pony tails, crimper hair...now I know that brings you back....spandex pants, leg warmers, mini MINI skirts....you name it...I saw it!
There were all kinds of fans...old ...young.....dudes....fatties like me......SUPER SUPER SUUUUUUUPPPPPEPEEERRRRR Fans and every thing and anything in between! Every time I saw a super fan, I kept imagining Rick's ex girlfriend! She's a total super fan! lol I'm terrible I know!!
These old ladies were right below our suite lol
This guy was rockin out for most of the show! lol
They really did put on a good show. Rick heard them doing their sound check and thought they sounded good too! I was actually sad to see the show end!
When I liked them back in the day, I LOVED Joey. However after seeing them last night....Donny is a hottie!! Guess I kinda like that bad boy look now! lol
They played both old and new stuff. On the old stuff, at times, you couldn't hear them sing because the crowd was so loud! I love live music period....but I have to say this was one of my top shows I have seen. They are out there, having a good time and enjoying themselves. They always had smiles on their faces. I think that is a HUGE factor when determining whether a show is good or not. If the band you are watch is just going through the motions and not thoroughly enjoying preforming then it isn't as good. You can tell when they are having a good time.
The encore of Hanging Tough was the best!! The place went nuts! And for your viewing pleasure..I took a video of it so you could feel like you were there with me!! Of course it is a little...no....WAY bumpy due to my groovy booty shaking at the end of the night! **See above fully stocked fridge!** And and extra special bonus of my fabulous singing along as well! Unfortunately the my AWESOME video appears to be too big..and I am having trouble posting it....so stay tuned because I know you just can't wait to see it! lol
I felt like I was at girl scout night at the rink! I used to think that there is nothing louder than screaming girl scouts....but now I know that there is....screaming 30 year New Kids On The Block fans! lol
I didn't get home until after midnight and then up and ready to go for soccer at 10 am!! lol
And of course, in true Bronwell fashion, the night wouldn't be complete without a goofy self taken picture of myself...even though I had people that I knew to take the picture! lol
