Well I forgot to fill up the feeder for about 4 days!! I was certain that the birds wouldn't come back and would have forgotten about us. We have been getting the green headed ones as well as the red headed ones. The green ones are very shy and tend to fly away at any sound they hear.
Well I filled up the feeder a few days ago and we haven't' seen anything.....until TODAY!! As we were getting the car to go do our errands, Ashleigh says "SHHHHHHH!!! LOOK!" and low and behold....a green headed hummingbird was eating!!
So we hurried and got strapped in the car and waited for a bit and watched for it to come back.
Well it did and then it went and sat in the branch in our tree. I didn't know that they actually perched in trees! I have only seen them flying around!
Anyway it was pretty exciting and they are just so cute! I am glad that they are still coming around! It made our days! lol
And a side note because it wouldn't be a blog without an update on the Sharks....we are 4-0 to start the season!!! First time in franchise history this has happened! Hopefully more good things to come! Apparently Rick got lots of air time on TV the last game! I can't believe my mom is actually watching hockey now! lol Anyway someone when we were out today asked me if Rick was my husband! Too funny! He, of course, LOVES all the attention!
