Tonight we had a team dinner with the owners at one of the owners' restaurant. I was very surprised that it was a good time. Usually things like this suck because everyone just sits with people they know and don't mingle with anyone else.
This time we had assigned seating. Our table was good. We had the GM of the team which is always good and two players and one wife. We really got to know the people at our table. The player with a wife has kids, girls, 5 and 1 so I am hoping that we will be able to do things with them this season.
We took the kids to a drop in hourly daycare called KidsPark. The girls LOVE it there! They did crafts, watched movies, and hit a pinata! Ashleigh told us on the way home that she had so much fun she couldn't stop thinking about it!
Overall it was a good night! It's supposed to rain tonight...nice since we have soccer in the morning! I'm sure I'll have more to tell tomorrow!
