Wait For Me Dear!!

Yesterday we went back to Jungle Island for a break from just hanging out at home. The girls, as usual, had a blast! I knew that by taking them, they both would sleep well!! Everything has a motive! lol Rick met us there after work so the girls were really happy to see him. When we first arrived, they girls could barely contain their excitement! Just as soon as I put their socks on, they were off and running. Addison followed right behind Ashleigh...into the top of the maze! I brought a magazine and figured I would read a little bit while keeping an eye on them...well that didn't happen! Ashleigh appeared from inside the maze a few minutes later...without Addison in tow! Ashleigh tells me she lost Addison! I start to freak out a bit because this maze is VERY large and for a 2 year old to be in there all alone...well anyway I see Addison's little legs climbing on the side of the netting going to the very top. I send Ashleigh up and things are great....so I think! Again, a few minutes later, Ashleigh appears and has to go potty and Addison is no where to be found. I hurry and take Ashleigh potty and then begin to look for Addison. Ashleigh goes up and looks and then comes down and tells me that Addison is stuck and I have to go up and get her. Now you all know that I am not a small person!! There was NO way I was hauling my fat ass up there, climbing around all these levels to retrieve my child!! I tell Ashleigh that adults aren't allowed in the structure and that she has to go and tell Addison that HAS to come out. Ashleigh goes up and talks to Addison so I think things are good....WRONG! Addison is refusing to come out. I now, still insisting that I am NOT getting up in this thing, start yelling her name. I can hear her say "Mommy! Help me!" Seriously I am starting to sweat because I know how scared she must be and I really DO NOT want to climb up this thing in fear that I will get stuck myself!! As I am taking off my shoes, a little girl, probably about 10, is helping Addison down the maze. I can't tell you how thankful I was that I didn't have to climb up there!! After that things went okay....UNTIL we ran into these weirdos! I think that the weirdos seem to attract to us! We met them at our first visit and exchanged phone numbers which I had no intentions of calling!! I only took her number because I didn't know how to decline politely! They are weird!! I know all about them and I have only met them one other time!! So we try to be nice....but you know me! So before they see us, (we spotted them while we were eating) I make Rick get a box for the pizza and I try to hide in the back corner of the slide area. Rick is gone FOREVER! I stand up and see that the guy has cornered him and he is talking away. I quickly sit down in fear of being spotted!! I am trying to plan our get away without being seen and not really sure how I am going to do it since I know the girls will go crazy when I tell then to hurry and we bolt and leave Rick to fend them off!! I decided that isn't a nice thing to do to Rick and I just wait for her to find me! Well pretty soon here comes the little girl, climbing up the slide...which I don't allow the girls to do. I pretend I didn't see them Mom and when she says something I act blonde and say..."Oh Hi! I didn't see you guys! You guys just get here?" Secretly I am kicking myself for not making my get away!! So then the Mom proceeds to start to tell me her life story while the older girl, almost 4 and still in diapers, take her 9 month old sister...I mean DRAG her up the slide! Are you kidding me?!?!?! They older girl finally lets the baby go and she slides down the slide and then proceeds to crawl over to the blocks all while the mom is yakking my ear off. Only when the baby screams bloody murder does she turn to see where she went to! I didn't know what to say to her! I am not one of these protective moms....but come on! You know to keep an eye on your kids...especially a baby! These are the kind of people we meet in San Jose!! Now you know why we have no friends here!! While this is going on, my two are going up and down the slide with no problems. Thankfully no one came down the slide that the other kids were climbing up. Addison kept telling Ashleigh...."Wait for me Dear!" and Ashleigh would say "OK Dear!" I am guessing that they got this from Lady In The Tramp where the human lady always calls her husband Jim Dear. It is getting late and this point and we still haven't ditched the weirdos...who Rick thinks want to swing! NASTY! Ashleigh has made a boyfriend with this Mexican boy about her age. I look up to see what they are doing and I hear her say "Boy. come back here!" I tell her to ask her friend his name and not call him boy. I'm not sure he speaks English so I try to listen to what he says. All I hear is a hissing sound,...so I think, since I heard his mom talk to him in Spanish that he has a Spanish name like Ismail or something. Rick comes over to get tokens and the girls and Ashleigh's friend are running around. Rick asks him, not knowing that Ashleigh already asked him his name, for his name. He looks are Rick and goes "HISSSSS" and make his hands in the spiderman pose and shakes them! If you don't know the spiderman poses...it's kinda like a hang loose symbol but down on the side. We had quite the laugh about this! I wanted to ask his mom what his name was...but was afraid what she would say if he is spiderman! lol We finally ended up ditching the weirdos because the place was really getting ready to close and their pizza had just come out. We just kinda waved and left them to celebrate their 12th wedding anniversary at Jungle Island! I told you, we know WAY to much about them!! Needless to say it was an adventure at Jungle Island....and of course the girls can't wait to go back! I just hope when we do go back...we are free of the swinging weirdos! lol
