Skating Lessons
I'm pretty pumped up still from seeing the Griz game yesterday...and to make things better....my mom's friend sent me an email with pictures that her friend took when she hiked up to the M. Amazing! The stadium is so beautiful and I will, someday soon, go to a Griz game and being the girls. They would love all the excitement!
We are getting ready for soccer to start and a new session on skating lessons as well. They both start next week. Ashleigh finished the summer session of skating this past Thursday. She got a ribbon for completing the class, a certificate and a progress report, We were proud parents that's for sure! Rick was able to come over and watch for a few minutes so Ashleigh was extra happy Daddy could come. When we check in, you get a sticker. Usually she puts the sticker on the back of her jacket. Last week, an older girl had it on her leg. Ashleigh asked me why it was on her leg. I told her that the older girls do that instead of their back. Well this week, she wanted to put it on her leg. My little girl is growing up! She wanted to take her purse on the ice too! I had to convince her that Addison wouldn't get into it and I would protect it!
You can see that Addison had a real interest in messing with Ashleigh's purse! She usually ends up passing out during the hour skate and that last lesson wasn't an exception! lol
It amazes me that Ashleigh can skate so well. She still has a lot to learn...but when she did her first session in April, she could barely stand up on her skates. They teach them with a stack of buckets. You hold on to the buckets for support. She only used a bucket for about 3 weeks and since then, she has been doing in on her own. She did the whole entire summer session without a bucket. She can skate better than me! lol
She still falls down a lot...but she is getting so good at getting back up.
She got new skates last week and they are just the cutest thing EVER! She is working on keeping her feet closer together so it isn't as stressful on her ankles.
She's looking up for Daddy! Luckily he had just gotten there when she looked up for him!
I don't know what she is raising her hand for...but you had to know that no kid of ours will be shy and quiet! I usually can hear her talking when the teacher asks a question to the class all the way in the stands! lol
Addison will start in the Winter session when she turns 3. I'm not sure how she will do! Although I think having Ashleigh out there will help her. They usually do pretty good when they are together doing something.

Holy cow!
Ashleigh is a ton better skater then me. We have a pond here that they groom in the winter for skating. Aurrora always wants to go, but none of us can skate to save our lives :)
