Today started out pretty decent and then it turned into such a crappy day! It rained all afternoon and was windy and was just flat out cold! We go so long without rain here that it is taking sometime to get used to the rain again.
We stayed home and didn't do much of anything. I made chicken noodle soup for dinner and enjoyed eating warm soup on a cold day. Rick didn't get the day off but he was able to be home at about 3 which was nice.
I had to run to Safeway to get a few things for our soup and of course couldn't get just what I needed! I had to get ice cream! lol I LOVE ice cream....but especially peppermint ice cream!! So does Rick and he isn't an ice cream eater. We used to get the best peppermint ice cream from Blue Bell in Houston. When Rick's sister came to visit one time, we actually toured the Blue Bell factory and had the freshest ice cream ever! So good!
Anyway they only make peppermint around the holidays so I always end up eating a lot more ice cream around this time! It was just the Safeway brand...so is wasn't as good as Blue Bell but still good. I am still on the lookout for a good brand here. I am tempted to have Blue Bell ship some here! You have to order at least 4 gallons at a time....I have already checked into the idea! lol I don't think we would have a problem getting those eaten!
I'm hoping tomorrow is a better weather day. The Sharks play Minnesota so we are looking forward to the game. I haven't decided if the girls are going to wear their Houston jersey's like last season or not! We'll see! lol
