The girls and I voted today. I get to vote in a skating rink...the roller kind. The girls came with me and were so good! I am teaching them about politics early in hopes they will care about them a little more than I do! lol
They kept calling it boating! They asked me when you vote, why you vote, who votes, could they color on my ballot...it was a kick. They sat so patiently while I made my choices. We just sat at a table so they could "help" me. When we finished, we all got stickers. The girls thought that it was so cool that they got a sticker!
I really am not a political person. I know the basics of each candidate and proposition but don't really care to get further in depth. I don't watch the debates or conventions. I just know the basics. I'm not saying that is they right thing to do, but I am getting more informed each time I vote.
We have 21 propositions to vote for on our ballot. I did read each one to see what it was about and read both sides of it. Usually I just vote no on everything. I am a little disappointed in the way things are being decided. It's obviously still early here in California so nothing will be final until tomorrow....which I hope is good results.
Enough about politics! We had a game tonight...and the SHARKS WON!!! We beat Minnesota. We still know a lot of people on the Wild so it is always nice to see our old friends. I still feel like I should be rooting for them! Last year the girls wore their Houston jerseys when we played the Wild. Houston is the Wild's farm team. Ashleigh's doesn't fit anymore so I knew she would throw a fit if Addison got to wear hers and she didn't.
