Change Of Plans....

I fully intended to, when I sat down at my computer, to look through pictures and post some of them....but now have had a change of plans.

I decided to check Facebook first and then get on to the pictures. What I saw there moved me to change my whole mind set for my blog.

A friend of mine was tagged in a picture so I looked at the pictures. Her husband is the cousin of the mom of a very sick little boy. Hope you got all that! lol

Anyway her husband is on the team and brought a friend to the hospital yesterday to see the little boy. Rick got the jerseys ready so the boys could do a visit with their sweaters on for the little boy. I don't know much about the little boy, but he is 7 and had heart surgery. He is also autistic.

There were pictures of him before and after the surgery. He doesn't look scared at all. The after pictures are what really got to me. He is hooked up to all these monitors and has tubes and wires everywhere and a scar from his neck to his belly button.

I am just thankful for our healthy children. I can't imagine going through what these parents are going through. I know there are sick kids all over but it really moved me to see someone we knows family that is hurting like this.

I just had to post about it because Rick called while I was looking at the pictures and thinking about our girls. I started crying, realizing just how lucky that we truly are. I know you deal with what life throws at you and if this happened to anyone of us we would learn to deal with...as this family has...but I am very thankful that our girls are happy and healthy and we are blessed with them in our lives.

My cousin is adopting two little boys from Haiti and has been doing so for over a year and half and still doesn't have them to hug and hold. I can't imagine not having our girls to hug and hold and to tell that we love them each day.

If anything, I just hope everyone realizes just how lucky they are and cherish the time you have with your family and loved ones. You never know when something may turn your world upside down.
